How to Add a Backup Phone Number to Your Google Account

Preparation

1. Open Your Favourite Browser.
2. Go to Accounts.google.com
3. In the Left Sidebar, Click on “Security”.
4. Scroll Down.
5. Under “Signing in to Google” Section. Click on “2 Step Verification”.
6. You May Need to Login Again to Continue.
7. Scroll Down.
8. Under “Backup Phone” Section, Click on “Add Phone”.
9. Enter a New Phone Number.
10. Now Select, How You Want to Verify this Number.
11. Select Your Preferred Option and Click Done.
12. Now, Click the Pencil Icon Next to the Phone Number You Have Entered.
13. Click Verify.
14. Click Next.
15. Enter the Code Received on Your Mobile Phone and Click Done.
16. That’s it, Your Backup Phone is Verified.
