How to Change the Default Folder Icon in Windows 7

Preparation

1. Right Click on the Folder You Want to Change.
2. Click on Properties at the Bottom of the Drop-down List.
3. Click on the "Customize" Tab.
4. Under the Folder Icons" Sections: Click "Change Icons".
5. Navigate Through the List of Default Windows Icons.
6. Select an Icon of Your Choice.
7. Click "Ok" After Selecting Your Icon.
8. Click Apply.
9. Now, Hit Refresh.
10. As You Can See Folder Icon Has Been Changed.
11. You Can Also Change Folder Icons by Downloading Icons Online.
12. To Do That, Open Your Favorite Browser and Go to Iconfinder.com
13. Search for "Wallpaper" Icons.
14. Select "Free" Option to Download Icons for Free.
15. Click on the Icon of Your Choice.
16. Download "Ico" File.
17. Now, Navigate to the Folder Location.
18. Right Click on the Folder You Want to Change.
19. Click on Properties at the Bottom of the Drop-down List.
20. Click on the "Customize" Tab.
21. Under the Folder Icons" Sections: Click "Change Icons".
22. Select "Browse" and Navigate to the Downloaded Location.
23. Select the Icon and Click Open.
24. Click "Ok".
25. Click Apply to Save the Changes.
26. As You Can See the Folder Icon Has Been Changed.
