How to Enable Two Step Verification on Your Google Account

Preparation

1. Open Your Favourite Browser.
2. Go to Accounts.google.com
3. In the Left Sidebar, Click on “Security”.
4. Scroll Down.
5. Under “Signing in to Google” Section. Click on “2 Step Verification”.
6. Click on “Get Started”.
7. Click “Ok” to Continue.
8. Now, Click on “Show More Options”.
9. Select “Text Message or Voice Call” from the Drop Down Menu.
10. Click on “Continue”.
11. Now, Enter the Phone Number You Want to Use.
12. Select How You Want to Receive the Code.
13. Click “Next”.
14. Enter the Verification Code Received on Your Mobile Phone.
15. Click “Next”.
16. Click on “Turn ON”.
17. That’s it, 2 Step Verification is Turned ON for Your Google Account.
18. Now, What if We Lose the Phone Number Which is Used for 2 Step Verification?
19. We Might Lose the Access to Our Google Account and All the Related Services Like Youtube, Gmail, Drive and More.
20. For that Reason. Scroll Down and Click on Backup Codes.
21. You May Need to Sign in Again to Continue.
22. Click on “Get Backup Codes”.
23. You May Note Down this Number and Keep it in a Safe Place or Save the Code on Your Device.
24. In Case if You Lost Your Phone, You Can Use these Codes to Login to Your Google Account.
