How to Uninstall VLC Media Player on Windows 10 PC

Preparation

1. Method 1 : Using "Add or Remove Programs"
2. In the Search Box, Type “Add or Remove Programs”.
3. Here You Can Find All the Programs You Have Installed on Your PC.
4. In the Search Box, Type VLC and Hit Search.
5. Click on the Result That Says “VLC Media Player”.
6. Click on the “Uninstall” Button.
7. Click on the “Uninstall” Button Again to Confirm.
8. Now, Follow the on-screen Uninstall Wizard and Complete the Uninstallation of the VLC Media Player.
9. Wait for Few Seconds.
10. That’s it. VLC Media Player is Uninstalled.
11. Method 2 : Using the VLC Uninstaller.exe
12. Click on the Start Button.
13. Go to “This PC”.
14. Navigate to the Following Path: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC
15. Find “Uninstall.Exe” File and Double Click on it to open it.
16. UAC Dialogue Box Pops Up, Click “Yes” to Continue.
17. Now, Follow the On Screen Instructions to Remove the VLC Media Player on Your PC.
18. Method 3 : Using the Uninstall String
19. Press Win+R Key On Your Keyboard to Open the Run Command Prompt.
20. Type “Regedit” and Press Enter. It will open Registry Editor.
21. Navigate to the Following Path to Find the VLC Media Player’s Uninstall String:
22. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\VLC media player
23. You Will Find the Uninstallstring if You Scroll Down in That Path.
24. Double-click on It and Copy the Value Data.
25. Now, Click on the Start Menu and Type CMD or Command Prompt.
26. Open It and Paste the Copied Value.
27. Click on Yes to the UAC Prompt and Complete the Uninstallation Process.
