How to Bookmark Specific Moments of a Video Using VLC Media Player

Preparation

1. Open VLC Media Player on Your PC.
2. Open the Media File That You Would Like to Watch.
3. In the Top Menu Bar, Click on “Playback” Option.
4. Click on “Custom Bookmarks” and then Select “Manage” From the Drop Down Menu.
5. Now, Drag the Media Pointer to the Correct Time.
6. Click on “Create” to Add the Bookmark.
7. Drag the Media Pointer Again.
8. This Time Press the Shortcut Key “CTRL+B” on Your Keyboard.
9. Click on “Create” Again to Add the Second Bookmark.
10. Similarly You Can Add More Bookmarks.
11. When All the Bookmarks are Set, You Can Close the Dialogue Box.
12. Now, To Access these Bookmarks.
13. Navigate to “Playback “and then “Custom Bookmarks” From the Drop Down Menu.
14. Click on Them and the Video Position Will Be Navigated Automatically to the Previously Saved Position.
15. But Sadly, the Bookmarks Are Lost Once the Media is Closed or When the Player is Closed.
16. It is Only Useful for Single Playback Session.
